We are offering our first CSA shares in 2024! This is very exciting for us! There are four separate CSA options this year, all of which are valued at $25 per week. Each option is available as a weekly (pick up every week) or biweekly share (pick up every other week). All shares are available for pick-up at Belvedere Farm on Tuesday afternoons from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., or on Wednesdays between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Some of our shares also available for pick-up (Tuesdays only - times vary) at Kitchen Girl Farm (18200 Bunker Hill Rd, Parkton), Dimitri Olive Oil (9 W. Aylesbury Rd, Timonium) and Prigel Family Creamery (4825 Long Green Rd, Glen Arm). These locations provide the convenience of additional local products, including beautiful vegetables from Kitchen Girl, delicious olives and oils from Dimitri’s, ethically-raised meats from The Genuine Food Company and ice cream, cheese, and more at Prigel’s. As for flower shares, here’s the simple run down for each option:
Spring Ranunculus Special: Receive a weekly bundle of beautiful ranunculus (approximately 13 stems per bundle of varying colors). This CSA runs from March 19 through April 24. The cost is $150 for weekly shares (6 weeks) and $75 for biweekly shares (3 weeks). Pick up at Belvedere Farm. We had a total of 25 shares available—all of which have been purchased. Thank you!
Snaps and Friends: Receive a weekly bundle of long-lasting snapdragons and other spring beauties such as peonies, agrostemma, bachelor buttons, scabiosa, yarrow, and more (approximately 15-25 stems per bundle - varies according to bloom). This CSA runs from April 30 through May 29. The cost is $125 for weekly shares (5 weeks) and $75 for biweekly shares (3 weeks). Pick up at Belvedere Farm, Dimitri’s, and Prigel Family Creamery. This CSA is now sold out.
Spring Sunshine Bundles: Receive a weekly bundle of smiling sunflowers paired with other blooms such as peonies, cosmos, bachelor buttons, lavender, lisianthus, oak leaf hydrangea, veronica, bells of Ireland, and more (approximately 15-25 stems per bundle - varies according to bloom). This CSA runs from June 4 through July 3. The cost is $125 for weekly shares (5 weeks) and $75 for biweekly shares (3 weeks). Pick up at Belvedere Farm, Dimitri’s, Kitchen Girl Farm, and Prigel Family Creamery. We have a total of 25 shares available.
Summer Bouquets: Receive a weekly “farmer’s choice” bouquet (15-25 stems) that is guaranteed to brighten your home each week. These mixed bouquets will include our best flowers of the summer season (zinnias, dahlias, cosmos, strawflowers, marigolds, lisianthus, several varieties of celosia, amaranth, gomphrena, and others) elegantly arranged with a variety of different foliage and ready to drop directly into a vase. This CSA runs from July 16 to September 25. The cost is $275 for weekly shares (11 weeks) and $150 for biweekly shares (6 weeks). Pick up at Belvedere Farm, Dimitri’s, Kitchen Girl Farm, and Prigel Family Creamery. We have are a total of 30 shares available.
By purchasing a Belvedere Farm CSA share (weekly or biweekly), you are agreeing to terms of the following CSA Membership Agreement:
I am buying a weekly or biweekly portion of Belvedere Farm’s (the “Farm”) harvest in advance, and entering into a relationship with the Farm for the duration of the CSA term.
I understand that my investment directly supports the Farm by providing much-needed capital for anticipated expenses, early in the season. I agree to pay my share in full by the designated deadline.
I understand that by signing up for a share of the harvest, I am agreeing to share in both the potential bounty and the potential risk of farming. While the Farm has a strong track record of growing flowers, there is always a risk of weather, natural disaster, pest issues, or unforeseen events that could interfere with the growth or successful harvest of the CSA flowers. If my CSA flowers are not available for one of these or similar reasons, the Farm will refund a pro-rated share of my CSA payment. (Example: If the farm is only able to provide 4 weeks of the ranunculus CSA, I will receive a refund of $50.)
I understand it is my responsibility to pick up my share during one of the CSA distribution times. If I am unable to pick up my share, I will ask someone to collect my share for me. If my share is not picked up, I forfeit the share for that week.
By purchasing a weekly or biweekly share from the Farm, I hereby agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless, the Farm, its agents and employees from any and all claims and/or liability that may arise from being on Farm property, from the purchase of a CSA share, or from the use of the flowers provided by the Farm.
In return, the Farm, through its farmers, promises to do its best to provide the flowers expected every week of the designated growing season. We will employ responsible growing techniques, harvest the best blooms available, and generally work extremely hard to make sure our CSA members receive their weekly share of color and joy!
